In July 2014, 87-year-old David Inman of Ontario, Canada lost 15-year-old Bailey, who he had adopted from WIN seven years earlier. Around the same time, a very sweet 12-year-old Wheaten named Buster was surrendered to a Long Island, New York shelter by his family who were moving and no longer wanted the responsibility of caring for a senior dog. Since both David and Buster are very spry for their ages, we thought it would be a good idea to bring them together. David was more than willing to welcome a new Wheaten into his home, so we arranged a WURL to get Buster from New York City to his new home north of the border. David and Buster hit it off immediately and are enjoying each other’s company during their golden years.
