Jordie

WIN helped another “senior” Wheaten who needed a new home when his owner could no longer care for him. With strong help from his original SCWTCA breeder, WIN found a new home for 9-year old Jordie. He’s a great example of why many “senior” Wheatens can make terrific companions: he’s housebroken, crate-trained, well-behaved, and healthy. He’s beyond the adolescent years and knows how to be a lively companion. Jordie now lives in New York State with Lesley.

Here’s what she wrote to Jordie’s breeder and WIN: Just a quick note to let you know how much I adore Jordie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is the perfect dog. He is so sweet and loving and well behaved. And you must breed wonderful Wheatens because he is a great great dog! And you will likely be even happier to know that he has had no accidents almost from the start. As soon as we showed him how to use the dog door (and cheese is a great motivator for Jodie) he has been a champ.

He totally gets it. He adores our fenced half acre… he can be found chasing squirrels or other little critters… and he knows what he is to do outside… very well behaved! Also he is never tired… Not sure if I told you that I am a marathon runner but Jordie runs with me 3 or 4 miles in the morning and never gets tired out… We walk wonderful trails… and I seldom leave him alone… but when I do he is fine… he has almost the entire run of the house at this point and uses the dog door when I am gone if he has to go out and when I come home he treats me like a rock star!!!!! Anyway I could not love him more. Thank you so much for helping me get Jordie.
