Flown cargo half way across the country at just eight weeks old by a breeder with a questionable reputation, Mokie was surrendered to WIN by his former owner less than three weeks later for undisclosed reasons. One can only presume the needs of such a young pup and the energetic nature of a Wheaten Terrier puppy were too overwhelming for an inexperienced owner. However, everything happens for a reason – Mokie was turned over to WIN the very day his current owner’s 15+ year old Wheaten passed away. Fate played a hand in this match. Now close to 1 year old, Mokie lives in the heart of the Big Apple where he has lots of friends – both two and four-legged, loves going to doggie day care to play and socialize, enjoys walks in Central Park, and is getting used to his kitty sister. He is loved immeasurably and his home is without question a furever one.
