Nine-year-old Tucker was rehomed by his original owners when they retired and wanted to spend more time traveling. He had lost a leg due to an injury three years earlier while he was in the care of a pet sitter. He went to live with a couple in Phoenix, Arizona who loved him, but things didn’t go well between Tucker and the couple’s cat. After a fight broke out, with the cat coming out on the losing end, they realized that their home was not the right place for Tucker.
Tucker was adopted by a young lady who had grown up with Wheatens and was now ready for one of her own. She took him home in December 2022. It took a little while for Tucker to adjust to his third home in two months, but he has since settled in nicely and is doing well.
